They are rich in antioxidants, contain cholesterol-lowering compounds, and have many other properties that are still being discovered.

Ingredients

  • 4 grams - Reishi Mushrooms

  • 1/2 tsp - Lion's Mane Creamed Honey (optional)

Directions

  1. Cut reishi mushrooms into small pieces.

  2. Using a mortar and pestle or electric mill, grind reishi pieces into a powder. Note: Reishi is a tough mushroom. If you are unable to cut or grind it, you may also use a whole mushroom. Although it may take longer to brew.

  3. Place 4 grams of reishi powder into a tea infuser or steeping device of your choice.

  4. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Note: If you are using a whole reishi, use 5 cups.

  5. Add reishi into boiling water and reduce to a light simmer.

  6. Let simmer for 1-2 hours. The larger the reishi pieces, the longer you should let simmer.

  7. Serve warm with optional honey.
